Our Mission

Our Mission and goal is to make the families, caregivers and in between knowledgeable about alzheimer's awareness. We pride ourselves on being the support that your love one would want you to have during this transition. The journey will be greater when we travel it together.

Alzheimer’s creates a kind of friction that the family needs to be strong for. You have to hold onto things and know what is true in life.

Lelia Otelia

Who are we?

My name is Jerri Riley the daughter of the late Lelia Otelia this non- profit foundation (501(c)3 is in her memory, who we lost in October 2015 to Alzheimer's disease. Lelia Otelia was a wife, mother, sister, aunt , grandmother, great grandmother, great -great grandmother. She was the matriarch of our family, that kept everything and everyone in their place. Her love for her husband , children ,family, friends is remembered by all and cherished by all.  She was known for her good cooking and family gatherings for all occasions. and her favorite was watching her grandchildren as well as neighborhoods children. traveling with her family on summer vacations was always a tradition. and her love for elephants was well known because through out her home you would see her elephant collections. Then came a long Alzheimer's Disease that took some of her precious memories , but never her strong fight to live and to travel this 14 year long journey with her family by her side being her voice and advocate.  The most This what the Alzheimer's Care Circle is all about letting you know your not alone we do care.

What will we do?

We will build long lasting relationships with caregivers and family members that take care of loved ones or patients that have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's/Dementia. We intend to make sure that caregivers are knowledgeable when working with the afflicted through education workshops on how to relate to the different stages of Alzheimer's/Dementia. We plan to be a resource and build resources to meet the need of the caregivers and family members. Through events we will continue to raise Alzheimer's awareness in our communities to an international level. Please also join us in fundraisers to raise money for The Walk to end Alzheimer's and Alzheimer's research.
